Demos is delighted to host a speech by Nick Clegg MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, entitled Why I Am a Liberal.
In this keynote address, marking the first anniversary of his leadership, Nick Clegg will share his vision of a liberal society, and his views on the future of liberalism as both a philosophy and political force. The speech will describe the intellectual underpinnings of the Liberal Democrat project to renew and liberalise contemporary Britain, and indicate the direction of future policy. Richard Reeves, Director of Demos and biographer of John Stuart Mill, will introduce and chair the event.
The speech will take place from 1pm on Monday December 15 2008, at Demos, 3rd Floor Magdalen House, 136 Tooley Street, London SE1 2TU.
